The aim of Tony's Handyman Services (Wheldrake) is to help local people with those little jobs they never have time to do, such as:

• Flat-pack furniture assembly
• Picture hanging
• Putting up shelves
• Replacing handles, hinges, etc.
• Trimming down doors
• Painting & decorating
• Tiling
• Basic joinery
• Garden maintenance
• Oven cleaning
• Bicycle maintenance

Works vehicle

I'm sure by now a good percentage of people will have seen my work's car in and around the village - it's easy enough to spot!

I do like my MINI's and when I started out I was using my 2002 MINI Cooper, but as it's my pride and joy I didn't want to get it spoilt.

So I got a MINI Clubman - something a little more practical, but not large by any stretch of the imagination but suitable for my requirements.

It was originally all black and not particularly eye-catching, but a trip to Spectrum Signs in Elvington and that situation was rectified, thanks to Leon and Martin. 😊

Hi, my name is Tony Ruddock and I have lived in Wheldrake since November 2015.

Most of career was spent working in IT as a Software Developer. In April 2020 I was put on furlough and then made redundant in the November.

Aged 55 I decided I'd had enough of IT and redundancy gave me the opportunity to do something different.

During my time on furlough I was able to do plenty of little jobs around the house and garden that I'd never managed while working full time - and I really enjoyed doing them!

So I started up Tony's Handyman Services (Wheldrake) with the aim of helping other people (like my previous self) to get those little jobs done.

I keep things very local, only serving Wheldrake and neighbouring villages.
